Narrated Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,
"The signs of a hypocrite are three:

Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.
Whenever he promises, he always breaks it (his promise).
If you trust him, he proves to be dishonest."

Lessons to be learned from the hadith:
1. Hypocrisy is a serious disease that islam warns us against;
2. Hypocrisy has symptoms of which the most famous are lying, breaking the promise, and betraying the trust;
3. Islam teaches us truthfulness, being trustworthy and keeping the promise.
